Are you a Registered Nurse (Band 5-6), with a Master’s degree, who would like to combine doctoral study (80% FTE) with clinical work (20% FTE)? The Open University is keen to build the next generation of nurse researchers, working with our NHS partners, to address societal challenges such as optimising health and well-being. We are inviting applications from UK based candidates to apply for a generous 3-year fulltime PhD studentship in Cardiovascular Nursing commencing in October 2023.
This studentship presents a unique opportunity to combine doctoral study with clinical practice. The Open University Stipend is approximately £17,668 per annum for 3 years and tuition fees are also covered. You will also work 30 hours per month, paid as a band 5/6, at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in a clinical area that provides care for patients with cardiovascular disease.
Applications close on 20th April 2023. Please contact Professor Felicity Astin (Felicity.Astin@open.ac.uk) should you wish to apply.
