At the 2026 BANCC Annual Conference, we invite our attendees to submit and present abstracts on research projects, quality improvement projects, audit, service evaluation, literature reviews and clinical cases.

Abstract submission must be sent to bancc@bcs.com by 5pm Monday 2nd March.

We encourage you to join the introductory webinar 'Your Voice in Cardiovascular Care: Learn to write a clear abstract, create an effective poster, and share your practice with confidence - A supportive writing workshop for nurses' on Monday 19th January 12:30-13:30 to learn more.

At the 2025 BANCC Annual Conference, we had moderated posters in the most peer supportive way with prizes. Posters could be on anything from research and academic projects to clinical case reports, audits and service evaluation.

First Place: Imogen Kemp and Sophie Smith, Implementation of a specialist MDT to improve management of LVAD driveline infections

Second Place: Sarah Ellison, Experiences of health care professionals caring for patients with adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) outside of hospital settings in the United Kingdom

Third Place: Mamatha Joshy, A study to assess the effect of hot application on pain associated with post operative activities amongst cardiac surgery patients
